Changes in the Austrian cash register implementation 2017: CermePOS complies with RKSV
“Registrierkassensicherheitsverordnung (RKSV)”, a new provision for the handling of electronic cash registers, requires that from 1 January 2017 in Austria every receipt must be digitally signed and stored. CermePOS has now been successfully registered as a partner of official certification service provider A-Trust and as such will have access to checkout certificates for the soon-to-be mandatory digital signatures.
As of 1 January 2017, all cash registers in Austria must be equipped with a technical security device, a certain device for the secure creation of signatures (signature card). With this signature card, all data of the POS system / POS system is digitally signed and thus protected against manipulation. In addition, all receipts will be signed with advanced electronic signatures.
To make these signatures legal, a certain cash register certificate is required. CermePOS, obtains this through the official certification service provider A-Trust and thus meets all the conditions for the secure and accurate generation of the required signatures.
